Algiers – December 2025 – In a display of Algeria’s unwavering diplomatic engagement across the African continent, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received, on Monday, Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, along with the high-level delegation accompanying him. The meeting, held at the Presidency of the Republic, reaffirmed Algeria’s enduring commitment to strengthening continental cooperation, deepening political coordination, and championing African solidarity in the face of shared challenges.
The audience took place in the presence of senior Algerian officials. Among them were Boualem Boualem, Director of Cabinet at the Presidency of the Republic; Ahmed Attaf, Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, the National Community Abroad and African Affairs; Amar Abba, Diplomatic Advisor to the President of the Republic; as well as Mohamed Khaled, Algeria’s Ambassador to Addis Ababa and Permanent Representative to the African Union.
