President Tebboune Receives Letter from President Al-Sisi, Reinforcing Algeria-Egypt Strategic Partnership

High-Level Discussions Emphasize Regional Cooperation, Economic Integration, and Shared Commitment to Arab Unity

Algiers, Algeria | April 17th, 2025 —  On Thursday, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and Expatriates, Badr Abdel Ati, in Algiers. During the meeting, Minister Abdel Ati delivered a personal letter from Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi, underscoring the enduring and strategic relationship between Algeria and Egypt.

The audience was attended by Boualem Boualem, Director of the Presidential Cabinet; Ahmed Attaf, Minister of Foreign Affairs and National Community Abroad; and Algeria’s Ambassador to Egypt.

This exchange follows a series of high-level engagements between the two nations. In October 2024, Presidents Tebboune and Al-Sisi held comprehensive talks in Cairo, reaffirming their commitment to deepening coordination on Arab issues and regional stability . Discussions highlighted mutual interests in energy, housing, and construction sectors, with Algeria welcoming Egyptian investment in these areas.

The leaders also addressed pressing regional concerns, including the situations in Palestine, Libya, and Sudan. Both presidents emphasized the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state within the 1967 borders, with East El Quds as its capital, and called for intensified efforts to resolve ongoing conflicts in the Arab world .​
