Algiers – December 2025 – President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, received, on Monday, Professor Elias Zerhouni, according to a statement issued by the Presidency of the Republic.
In a press statement delivered following the audience, Professor Zerhouni stated that the meeting with President Tebboune provided an opportunity to discuss the Algerian university system, scientific research, and advanced technologies, as well as issues related to Algerian students, with a view to enabling them to benefit from cutting-edge scientific and technological knowledge.
The audience was held in the presence of Professor Kamel Sanhadji, Director of the National Agency for Health Security, the communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic added.
The meeting reflects the authorities’ continued interest in strengthening the role of higher education, science, and technology in national development, within the framework of institutional consultation and expertise-sharing.
