President Tebboune Receives Tahar Benbaïbeche to Review National Political and Electoral Priorities

Algiers – December 2025 – President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received on Wednesday the president of the El Fadjr El Djadid Party (PFJ), Tahar Benbaïbeche, as part of the ongoing series of consultations with political party leaders. The meeting, held at the Presidency, was described by Benbaïbeche as “highly fruitful,” offering an opportunity to review a broad spectrum of economic, social, and political issues at a pivotal moment in the country’s national agenda.
Speaking after the audience, Benbaïbeche emphasized that the discussions touched on the legislative framework governing elections and political parties, as well as preparations for the upcoming electoral deadlines scheduled for next year. He underscored that the exchange allowed for a deep and constructive examination of the state’s priorities and the mechanisms required to ensure the success of the forthcoming national milestones.
Highlighting a “complete convergence of views,” the PFJ leader stressed that he and President Tebboune shared a unified assessment regarding the current state of political activity in Algeria and the future trajectory of political parties. The dialogue also explored key national issues and the concrete implementation of the ambitious programme initiated by the President of the Republic, reaffirming the centrality of collective commitment in advancing national objectives.
Benbaïbeche further noted that the meeting placed particular emphasis on the responsibilities entrusted to political parties, insisting that each formation must fully assume its role on the national scene. The audience was attended by Mustapha Saïdj, Adviser to the President of the Republic in charge of political affairs, youth relations, civil society, and political parties, according to a communiqué from the Presidency of the Republic.
