Algiers, Algeria | June 29th, 2025 — As part of Algeria’s ongoing commitment to multilateral cooperation and global sustainable development, Prime Minister Mohamed Nadir Larbaoui departed for Seville, Spain, on Sunday, June 29, 2025, where he will represent President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the Fourth International Conference on Financing for Development, scheduled to take place from June 30 to July 3, 2025.

According to an official communiqué issued by the office of the Prime Minister, Larbaoui’s mission underscores Algeria’s determination to contribute constructively to shaping collective global responses to the critical challenge of development financing. The high-level conference will bring together world leaders, policymakers, financial institutions, and international development actors to deliberate on pathways to bridge the persistent financial gaps hindering the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Focus on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda

Participants in the Seville summit will review the progress made in implementing the Addis Ababa Action Agenda—a key framework adopted in 2015 to mobilize resources, strengthen public and private investment, and reinforce global partnerships in support of the SDGs.

The conference will serve as a platform to evaluate the effectiveness of current funding mechanisms, assess international financial commitments, and identify innovative financing strategies for developing economies, with an emphasis on inclusion, resilience, and sustainability.
