Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb from Jijel: All Confiscated Industrial Projects Will Be Revived

Algiers – September 2025 – Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb, during a working visit to the wilaya of Jijel on Monday, reaffirmed the government’s determination to revive all industrial projects previously seized in the context of the national anti-corruption drive.
Speaking on the sidelines of his visit, Ghrieb declared: “We are working on enriching an economic roadmap that responds to the needs of the national market.” His statement came shortly after the inauguration of a state-of-the-art oilseed crushing complex, specializing in the production of vegetable oils and oilcake, operated under the Madar Group.
The Prime Minister placed particular emphasis on the urgency of accelerating the recovery of available spaces within the port of Djendjen, earmarked for the export of cement. In line with directives issued by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, he stressed that the process of recovering embezzled funds is being implemented directly by Algerian cadres.
Further underlining Algeria’s ambition to strengthen its export capacity, Ghrieb announced the creation of a dedicated port for cement exports. To this end, twenty hectares will be allocated to private operators and investors for the construction of specialized silos, intended exclusively for export operations.
