Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb Inaugurates a Major Reinforced Concrete Production Plant in M’Sila

Algiers – October 2025 – In a new step reaffirming Algeria’s determination to revitalize its industrial base and consolidate economic sovereignty, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb inaugurated in M’Sila a reinforced concrete production plant belonging to the public enterprise Foundal, a subsidiary of the National Iron and Steel Company (SNS). The inauguration marks a strategic industrial milestone, positioning M’Sila as a major hub in the country’s expanding construction materials sector.
During the ceremony, the Prime Minister received a comprehensive presentation on the industrial fabric of the wilaya, emphasizing the government’s efforts to accelerate industrial revival and ensure the optimal use of national resources. The newly inaugurated facility stands as a cornerstone project in this vision, designed to boost national production capacity and reduce dependence on imports.
Spanning 23.9 hectares, the state-of-the-art complex was recovered by the State Property Services as part of the ongoing national operation to reclaim and rehabilitate public assets and industrial infrastructures that had long remained underutilized. The initiative reflects President Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s policy of reviving Algeria’s productive apparatus through the restoration of strategic sites and their transformation into engines of economic growth.
With an estimated annual capacity of 650,000 tonnes, the M’Sila plant is expected to play a central role in meeting the country’s growing demand for reinforced concrete and construction steel, particularly in infrastructure and housing projects. In its first phase alone, the plant will create over 450 direct jobs, representing a significant boost to local employment and regional development.
