Ramadan: Algerian Red Crescent Aims to Provide 3 Million Meals Daily

ALGIERS- During the holy month of Ramadan, the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) plans to provide 3 million meals daily to the needy and passersby through 284 Rahma restaurants established across the country.

CRA President Ibtissam Hamlaoui stated that the organization is also aiming to distribute at least 153,190 food parcels to needy families. She emphasized that this distribution process has already commenced and has been ongoing for over a week.

This initiative underscores the commitment of the Algerian Red Crescent to supporting vulnerable communities during Ramadan, ensuring that individuals in need have access to nutritious meals throughout the month.

The establishment of Rahma restaurants across the country provides a vital lifeline for those facing food insecurity, reflecting the organization’s dedication to humanitarian efforts and community support.
