Ramadan: Algerian Red Crescent launches vast solidarity operation

ALGIERS–  As every year, on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, the Algerian Red Crescent (CRA) is stepping up its activities to help precarious social categories, while respecting its primary vocation of solidarity.

Thus, 257  Rahma restaurants opened nationwide, indicated a communiqué issued by the organization. The CRA provides no less than 39,000 meals / day to be taken away by people who do not wish or cannot travel to these restaurants and to avoid some inconvenience for these families.
The number of food parcels distributed exceeded 60,000 units initially. These parcels were immediately sent to the wilayas of the south.

 

 

In a related context, the Algerian Red Crescent has launched an awareness campaign on the dangers of speeding before iftar. This campaign consists of organizing several awareness-raising activities for the benefit of drivers at roadblocks and checkpoints, in addition to providing Iftar meals.
