Rif National Party Rallies Support in Germany: No Reconciliation with Oppression, Only Liberation for the Rif

In a gathering in Düsseldorf, Rif activists denounce the Moroccan regime, reject reconciliation, and vow to continue the fight for dignity, freedom, and self-determination.

Algiers, Algeria | July 1st, 2025 — In an emotionally charged political gathering held in the German city of Düsseldorf, the Rif National Party (RNP) continued to mobilize the Rif diaspora across Europe and reaffirm its steadfast commitment to the struggle for the liberation of the Rif region from what it describes as “Alawite-Makhzen colonial rule.”

The meeting, attended by dozens of Rif activists and supporters, featured fiery speeches that underscored the deep-rooted frustrations of exiled Rifians who have long rejected the policies of repression, marginalization, and forced exile imposed by the Moroccan monarchy.

In an interview with Dzair Tube, Yuba El-Ghadioui, President of the Rif National Party, stated:

“I welcome you all to this struggle-driven gathering. The flag of the Rif now proudly flies here in Düsseldorf. As sons of a people forced into exile, our dream has always been that the Rif be liberated from the clutches of Alawite-Makhzen colonialism.”

El-Ghadioui delivered a forceful message to those calling for reconciliation with the Moroccan regime:

“Let it be said clearly, in every language of the world: No peace. No reconciliation. Not with criminals who have oppressed, tortured, and silenced our people. The Makhzen’s occupation of the Rif is illegitimate. So is the reign of a puppet king who sold out the homeland and rules with fear, violence, and prisons. The Rif will never be tamed. Its free people will continue their struggle until both land and dignity are liberated from the claws of this criminal apparatus that humiliates its own people.”

The event, organized by the RNP, is part of a broader series of European mobilizations aimed at consolidating support among the Rif diaspora and challenging the official Moroccan narrative.

Activist Arabi Aissa, a prominent member of the movement, denounced the monarchy’s destructive influence:

“We must shed light on the reality: millions of Rifians have been forced into exile across Europe. The Alawite regime’s oppression goes beyond mere displacement — it has actively injected extremist ideologies like Daeshism into the social fabric, something entirely foreign to the tolerant and secular traditions of the Rif people.”

Meanwhile, another RNP member said:

“Good afternoon everyone. Today, we are in Düsseldorf, Germany, for this meeting organized by the Rif National Party. Similar events were held in Utrecht (Netherlands) and Brussels (Belgium). We are planning more such gatherings to engage the Rif community across Europe and make our goals clear to everyone.”

These meetings signal a deepening political maturity among exiled Rifians who are now uniting under structured platforms like the RNP to voice their collective demands and advocate for international recognition of their cause.

The Rif National Party, through its gatherings and messages, is repositioning the Rif question on the European and global stage — not merely as a regional issue but as a legitimate struggle for self-determination and human dignity, against what it describes as decades of “colonial monarchy, economic neglect, and cultural suppression.”
