Algiers, Algeria | July 17th, 2024 — The Algiers Water and Sanitation Company (SEAAL) has unveiled an upgraded version of its electronic payment platform, “Fatourati 2.0,” designed to simplify bill payments for customers in Algiers and Tipasa. The announcement was made by Salah Harrache, SEAAL’s Customer Director, during a press conference on Wednesday.
Streamlined Payment Process
Accessible via SEAAL’s website or mobile application, the new platform streamlines the payment process, enabling customers to settle their water bills with ease. Salah Harrache emphasized that this initiative aims to provide greater flexibility for debt settlement, addressing the needs and preferences expressed by SEAAL’s clientele.
Partial Payment Option
“Fatourati 2.0” introduces a partial payment option, allowing customers to manage their payments according to their financial capacity, up to 50% of the total debt. This feature was developed following an in-depth study conducted by SEAAL in January 2024, which analyzed customer feedback and suggested improvements for easier platform access and the ability to make partial payments.
Commitment to Innovation and Customer Satisfaction
“Fatourati 2.0” represents a significant advancement in SEAAL’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction, embodying its vision of providing modern and efficient public services. Aissam Hosni Rouzeik, Director of Management Units and Customer Relationship Digitalization, highlighted the user-friendly nature of the new platform. Unlike the previous version, where customers had to enter a lengthy code of over 20 characters upon receiving their bill, the new system requires only a client code found on the invoice, simplifying the login process.
Secure and Efficient Transactions
Rouzeik assured that the platform is secure, with end-to-end data protection and immediate transaction processing. “Our goal at SEAAL is to fully digitalize our customer interactions, from connection requests to billing for services,” he stated.
Significant Adoption and Future Growth
Since the initial version was introduced in 2016, more than 600,000 electronic payment transactions have been recorded for water bill settlements. With the launch of “Fatourati 2.0,” this number is expected to increase significantly as more customers adopt the new, user-friendly platform.
“Fatourati 2.0” not only enhances the ease of electronic payments but also reinforces SEAAL’s commitment to adopting innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of its customers, ensuring a modern and efficient service delivery.
