ALGIERS- The University of Sidi Bel Abbès has emerged as the leading institution in Africa and the Maghreb across various disciplines, as per the Shanghai World Thematic Ranking 2023 edition.

In the global ranking of universities, the “Djillali Liabes” University has achieved a remarkable position in the 101-150 range for civil engineering and the 151-200 range for mechanical engineering.

Furthermore, “Djillali Liabes” University has also secured a commendable position in the 301-400 range for materials engineering, further solidifying its reputation as a top-tier educational institution.

In light of this outstanding achievement, Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, extends his heartfelt congratulations to the university officials. He emphasizes that this ranking is a testament to the university’s exceptional performance in the realms of scientific research and academia.
