Sifi Ghrieb and Mostafa Madbouly Hold Talks to Deepen Algerian–Egyptian Partnership

Algiers – October 2025 – In a new step reflecting the strong and enduring ties between Algiers and Cairo, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb held a telephone conversation on Sunday with his Egyptian counterpart, Mostafa Madbouly. The discussion came as part of the ongoing follow-up to the fruitful talks held on October 8 between President Abdelmadjid Tebboune and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi.
According to a statement issued by the Algerian Prime Minister’s Office, the conversation centered on consolidating the outcomes of the two presidents’ dialogue and further strengthening the historical relations of solidarity and cooperation that bind the two nations.
During the exchange, Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly expressed his deep appreciation for the long-standing friendship between Algeria and Egypt, underscoring the profound respect and esteem in which Algeria is held by Egypt’s leadership, government, and people. He reaffirmed Cairo’s commitment to expanding bilateral collaboration and fostering closer coordination across multiple sectors of shared interest.
For his part, Prime Minister Sifi Ghrieb extended his warm congratulations to his Egyptian counterpart on the occasion of the commemoration of the October 6 victories—an emblematic date in Egypt’s national history. He emphasized the importance of reinforcing and intensifying bilateral cooperation to reflect the historic solidarity and brotherly relations that unite the two countries.
Ghrieb also highlighted the necessity of ensuring meticulous preparation for the upcoming 9th session of the Algerian–Egyptian Joint Commission, which he described as a key milestone in advancing the economic partnership between Algiers and Cairo. The commission, he noted, is expected to open new horizons for collaboration in diverse fields, paving the way for a renewed and dynamic phase in the bilateral relationship.
