The Small and Medium Enterprise Credit Guarantee Fund (FGAR) will organize a national conference in Algiers on Tuesday under the theme “Financial guarantee, a support mechanism for SMEs”, said a statement from the Fund on Monday.
Organized under the patronage of the Minister of Industry, this conference aspires to establish “a common vision with the various actors active in this sector and to work to intensify cooperation with financial institutions in order to support SMEs which are of great importance in the government program,” said the same source.
This, “in accordance with the recommendations of the national conference on industrial recovery, organized by the Ministry of Industry last December, relating to the mechanisms for financing investment projects and support for small and medium-sized enterprises and the role of banks,” the statement added.
Through this conference, the Fund also aims to highlight “the role of the financial guarantee as a co-risk taker mechanism”.
In this context, the conference provides a space for exchange in the form of panels, in the presence of economic experts, State executives, managers of public and private banks and managers of support and development systems for SMEs, it is emphasized.
Through these panels, two main areas will be highlighted, namely: “support mechanisms for SMEs: inventory, constraints and prospects”, as well as “the different modes of financing to which SMEs have access”, concludes the press release.
