Sonatrach Showcases Algeria’s Energy Vision at Osaka 2025 International Energy Week

As part of its contribution, the Algerian Pavilion is hosting a dedicated “Algerian Energy Week”, designed to spotlight Algeria’s achievements in energy security, food and water resilience, and its strategic roadmap for diversifying energy sources and accelerating the shift toward renewable and sustainable models.
By partaking in this high-profile gathering, Sonatrach reaffirms its role as a trusted global energy partner and a strategic pillar in ensuring supply security, while simultaneously embracing innovation and cleaner energy solutions. During the event, Sonatrach’s delegation—led by Youcef Khenfer, Central Director for Green and Renewable Energies, and Abdelkader Fodil Cherif, Director of Environment at the Central Directorate of Health, Safety, and Environment—took part in a high-level technical seminar. The session explored pathways for accelerating energy transition toward clean alternatives such as green hydrogen and renewable power, while also addressing food and water security through investments in green energy, sustainable fertilizer production to support agriculture, and advanced water solutions, including desalination and recycling.
