Algiers, Algeria | July 2nd, 2025 — The Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Mr. Brahim Boughali, received on Wednesday the outgoing Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan to Algeria, Mr. Chaker Attallah El Amouch, who paid him a farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission in the country.

This farewell meeting served as an opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding fraternal relations between Algeria and Jordan, according to a statement issued by the lower house of the Algerian Parliament.

Speaker Boughali expressed appreciation for Ambassador El Amouch’s active role in revitalizing bilateral ties, particularly at the parliamentary level. He highlighted the ambassador’s contribution to enhancing mutual understanding and fostering institutional dialogue between the two nations.

For his part, Ambassador El Amouch praised the momentum achieved in parliamentary cooperation, especially following Mr. Boughali’s recent visit to Jordan. He further commended Algeria’s current mandate as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council, describing it as a “major diplomatic achievement” for the country.

The meeting concluded on a note of mutual respect and gratitude, reflecting the strong and enduring partnership that continues to unite Algeria and Jordan in the Arab and international arenas.
