Algiers – December 2025 – In a diplomatic engagement underscoring the steadily expanding partnership between Algeria and Qatar, the Speaker of the People’s National Assembly (APN), Ibrahim Boughali, undertook a series of high-level cultural and institutional visits in Doha as part of his official trip, conducted at the invitation of Hassan bin Abdullah Al-Ghanim, Speaker of the Qatari Shura Council.
Boughali and the accompanying parliamentary delegation were received by Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al-Kawari, Minister of State with the rank of Deputy Prime Minister and President of the Qatar National Library. In a welcoming address marked by mutual esteem, Al-Kawari paid tribute to the “deeply rooted historical relations” linking Algeria and Qatar, reaffirming Doha’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in fields of shared strategic interest.
During the delegation’s visit to the Qatar Foundation — one of the region’s most influential educational and research hubs — Boughali was presented with an extensive briefing detailing the institution’s academic ecosystem, its specialized programs, and the advanced pedagogical models it has adopted. The presentation highlighted the Foundation’s role as a driver of knowledge-based development and a pillar of Qatar’s national vision for educational innovation.
The APN Speaker also toured the National Museum of Qatar, where he and his delegation explored a range of curated exhibitions retracing the historical evolution of the Qatari state. The visit offered a comprehensive insight into Qatar’s cultural identity, its societal transformations, and the milestones that have shaped its modern nationhood.
