Algiers – September 2025 –  On the sixth day of the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF 2025), Algeria marked a decisive moment in its economic diplomacy and continental outreach, as a series of landmark agreements worth billions of dollars were concluded between Algerian industrial groups and leading international and African partners. The signing ceremony was attended by Kamel Moula, President of the Algerian Economic Renewal Council, alongside senior executives, government officials, and foreign delegates, in a display of Algeria’s growing ambition to strengthen its industrial base and expand its footprint across Africa.

The most significant agreements were spearheaded by HOLDING SNS, which alone sealed preliminary protocols amounting to an estimated $950 million. These accords are poised to consolidate Algeria’s industrial activities, enhance integration rates, and accelerate the export-driven orientation toward the African market. Among the agreements, a strategic partnership was finalized between ANABIB Spa and Egypt’s Elsewedy Electric, aimed at advancing irrigation infrastructure and agricultural development under the ANABIB–SUN GALVA consortium. Further industrial pacts included a galvanization services contract with China’s HABICARE SARL, targeting a projected 110,000 tons, and another with Shanxi Installation Group for steel forming and galvanization services, reinforcing the ANABIB–THB Automotive cluster.

Agreements were also reached with Algeria FAW Trucks Industries and Mansour EMGS Algeria for the provision of critical spare parts, while CFTS Senegal secured an accord to represent ANABIB Spa in West African markets, underscoring Algeria’s regional expansion strategy. Parallel to these, ENCC, a subsidiary of HOLDING SNS, signed an agreement with Algeria FAW Industries (China) for truck body manufacturing, while FONDAL struck a cooperation protocol with Senegal’s CFTS Sarl that includes local industrial development and a strengthened West African presence.

In addition, Amimer Energie entered into three contracts with the Chadian operator Encobat, surpassing €100 million, while BAIC concluded agreements with South Africa’s KAP Automotive, valued initially at $50 million but projected to scale up to $150 million in the near future. The agricultural sector also witnessed a milestone, with Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Youssef Charfa overseeing a $200 million partnership between Agrolog and the Ivorian company Abassi, focusing on cocoa and coffee production.

Parallel commitments in steel and logistics were supervised by Minister of Trade and Export Promotion, Professor Kamel Rezig. The Algerian-Qatari Steel Company finalized three export contracts worth $420 million, targeting West African markets through agreements with Uni Steel ($195.6 million), Libya’s Al-Najah ($98.2 million), and Nigeria’s Sahel Company ($121 million). The Algerian shipping group GATMA signed a $6 million partnership with a Mauritanian counterpart, while a series of health and industrial deals, including those involving Lyn Pansements, Top Gloves, and Hygimed, collectively amounted to nearly $17.2 million.

The electronics and manufacturing sectors also shone, with Géant Electronics securing contracts worth $11 million with partners from Tanzania, Zimbabwe, and Niger, and Aris Shoes inking agreements worth $10 million with Zimbabwean and Tanzanian firms.
