 Strengthening Algerian-Chinese Relations in the Field of Youth

ALGIERS- The National Office of the Supreme Youth Council welcomed a delegation from the Foreign Relations Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. The purpose of this meeting was to explore avenues for enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the realm of youth.

Abdelhalim Benbada, the Vice President of the Supreme Council for Youth responsible for youth empowerment, emphasized that this meeting provided an opportunity to discuss “ways to strengthen and solidify relations between the Supreme Council for Youth and the Chinese Communist Party in the context of youth.”

Abdelhalim Benbada further highlighted Algeria’s experience in establishing the Supreme Youth Council as an advisory body, providing insights into its responsibilities and future prospects.

The spokesperson also commended the exceptional relations between Algeria and China, dubbing them as “strategic cooperation.”

Yu Wei, the head of the Chinese delegation, acknowledged the significance of the Supreme Youth Council in shaping this segment of society and understanding its concerns. He expressed his willingness to “enhance communication with the Council and deepen youth exchanges, thereby fostering positive relations between our two countries.”

Wei also touched upon the “historical relations” between Algeria and China, noting that this year marks the 65th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two nations.

In conclusion, this meeting served as a platform for both parties to strengthen Algerian-Chinese relations in the field of youth. The discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration and exchange, with a shared commitment to nurturing a prosperous future for the youth of both nations.
