Algiers – December 2025 – The Supreme Council of the Arabic Language paid tribute, on Thursday, to the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, in recognition of his steadfast commitment to the promotion of the Arabic language and his sustained support for the literary and intellectual community.
This high-level distinction was awarded during the opening ceremony of the President of the Republic Prize for Arabic Literature and Language, held at the Abdelatif Rahal International Conference Center (CIC). On behalf of the Head of State, the trophy was officially received by the Prime Minister, Mr. Sifi Ghrieb.
The tribute reflects the national recognition of President Tebboune’s vision, which places the Arabic language at the heart of Algeria’s cultural identity, intellectual sovereignty, and civilizational continuity.
