Textiles and Apparel: Algiers Hosts International Brands Exhibition Made in Algeria

๐๐ต๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ โ ๐๐ช๐ท๐พ๐ช๐ป๐ ๐๐๐๐ โ Algiers has reinforced its ambitions in the textile and apparel sector with the opening, on Friday, of the International Brands Exhibition Made in DZ, held at the Marriott Hotel in Bab Ezzouar. The event brings together a wide array of international and national companies operating in the textile and clothing industries and is organized under the patronage of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion.
The official inauguration was overseen by the Minister of Foreign Trade and Export Promotion, Kamel Rezig, alongside the Minister of Internal Trade and Market Regulation, Amel Abdelatif. The opening ceremony was attended by the Director General of the Algerian Investment Promotion Agency (AAPI), Omar Rekkache, the Director General of Customs, Major General Abdelhafidh Bekhouche, as well as the Ministers of Industry and Sports, underscoring the high-level institutional support accorded to the event.
On this occasion, the two ministers toured the exhibitionโs various stands, where they examined locally manufactured products bearing global brand names. They were briefed on the production capacities of national enterprises, their compliance with international standards, and the successful experiences achieved in Algeria in the local manufacturing of internationally renowned commercial brands.
Spanning two days, the exhibition forms part of the implementation of the national strategy aimed at localizing global brands and strengthening domestic production capabilities. This approach seeks to ensure the availability of internationally branded products on the local market while boosting export potential, particularly toward African markets, according to the eventโs organizers.
The exhibition also features a strong presence of national textile brands, showcasing diversified clothing collections and accessories designed to cater to a wide range of categories, age groups and consumer preferences.
