The MAK, a Neo-Colonial Puppet: A Sham Declaration Orchestrated by Israel and France
Algiers – December 2025 – Once again, the malevolent shadow of the Movement for the Self-Determination of Kabylia (MAK)—a puppet entity classified as a terrorist organization under Algerian law—seeks to force its way onto the international stage. Its so-called “declaration,” scheduled for December 14, a symbolic date at the United Nations, is nothing more than a pathetic piece of political theater. Behind this farce lie the clawed hands of two powers hostile to Algeria: the Zionist Israeli entity and the former colonial power, France, embodied by Xavier Driencourt—former French ambassador to Algiers (2008–2012, then from April 2017 to 2020) and today an adviser to the MAK. This maneuver is not a political initiative; it is an act of hybrid warfare, a visceral reaction to Algeria’s firm and principled stance in support of Palestine.
An Exhausted Groupuscule, a Creature of Foreign Intelligence Services
Reduced to a handful of individuals living on the margins of their own people and operating from foreign capitals, the MAK is a body without a soul. Its alleged roots in Kabylia are a fabrication, contradicted daily by the region’s authentic political forces. As Youcef Aouchiche of the FFS rightly stated, this movement is an “imported project” aimed at dividing the country, and its members are “enemies of the nation.” Its only legitimacy is that granted by its sponsors in Tel Aviv and Paris, whose declared objective is to undermine Algeria’s sovereignty and national unity.
France and Israel: A Duet of Infamy in an Anti-Algerian Escalation
The feverish agitation surrounding the date of December 14 speaks volumes. It reveals the rage of two states unable to tolerate seeing Algeria standing upright, sovereign, and speaking loudly for just causes. Their alliance here represents the marriage of French colonial resentment and Israeli Zionist arrogance.
Israel, a genocidal state, seeks revenge. Algeria’s courageous and consistent position at the UN Security Council, denouncing the genocide in Gaza, has struck the Zionist entity at the core of its pride. Deprived of moral or diplomatic arguments, it resorts to its habitual methods: destabilization, blackmail, and the instrumentalization of marginal groups. The MAK’s “declaration” reeks of the dust-laden offices of the Mossad in Tel Aviv. By aligning with Israel, Ferhat Mehenni and his clique sign a pact with the devil, trampling on the memory of Algerian martyrs—including his own father—and Arab martyrs who fell for freedom.
France, for its part, has never come to terms with Algeria’s independence. Paris’s active support for this masquerade is the continuation of its neo-colonial policy by other means. Allowing a secessionist movement to operate freely on its soil, to proclaim phantom “governments,” and to deliver subversive speeches against a sovereign and friendly state constitutes a clear act of hostility. It confirms that certain French circles remain obsessed with Algeria, driven by a toxic mix of imperial nostalgia and frustration at no longer being able to dictate its will.
Kabylia, the Heart of Algeria, Immune to Imported Viruses
Kabylia is not a commodity to be auctioned off in the marketplaces of foreign intelligence services. It is the beating heart of Algeria—a region that has given the nation some of its greatest heroes, intellectuals, and architects of its identity. The MAK’s project is an insult to Kabylia’s history and to its central role in building modern Algeria.
The true sons and daughters of Kabylia are on their land. Whether, like Youcef Aouchiche or Dr. Saïd Saadi, they engage in political action rooted in the country; whether, like Amrane Aït Hamouda known as Noredine, son of Colonel Amirouche, they remain faithful to the sacrifice of the martyrs; or whether they simply contribute through their work and attachment as builders of their region and their nation—they honor and strengthen Algeria. They are not to be found in Parisian salons or in the antechambers of the Knesset, begging for illusory recognition.
Conclusion: Unity, Our Impenetrable Rampart
This desperate communication operation scheduled for December 14 will change nothing about reality. It merely exposes the strategic distress of its sponsors. Algeria, forged in the fire of the November 1st Revolution and cemented by the blood of its martyrs, remains a fortress of unity. Every attempt to divide it—whether from Paris, Tel Aviv, or their local mercenaries—will crash against the unshakable determination of its people and institutions.
France and Israel may continue to play apprentice sorcerers. Algeria, for its part, remains vigilant, strong in its historical legitimacy and sovereign will. These maneuvers only reinforce our cohesion and our conviction that the path of dignity is that of independence and the rejection of all foreign interference.
Long live Algeria, one and indivisible. Glory and eternity to our martyrs.
