The Makhzen King Between Normalisation and Devil’s Island

Not all kings are kings.
Some are merely gatekeepers for others.
Not all thrones are made of gold—
some are built of smoke, hashish, and imported loyalty.
In the deepest vault, where the heaviest secrets are concealed,
lies the story of Morocco’s king—
a king who did not fall suddenly,
but slipped gradually
from the language of sovereignty
into the rhetoric of normalisation.
He chose to trade his people for dubious alliances,
his history for cold signatures,
and his dignity for a wide smile
before the killers of children.
He shook the bloodstained hand
and called it “political realism.”
They called him the Prince of the Stoned—
not because his people are drunk,
but because decisions under his rule are made in a stupor,
because the nation is treated like a glass passed around:
each time it empties,
it is refilled with a new dose of normalisation,
until the conscience is intoxicated
and the compass is lost.
For him, normalisation is not a passing stance; it is a system of rule—
an alliance with the enemy, marketed at home as a “national interest,”
and sold abroad as a “strategic service.”
This is how causes are auctioned,
and how betrayal is laundered in soft terminology.
Opening the vault reveals more than documents.
It exposes a distant island—
absent from official maps,
yet well known in shadow files:
Devil’s Island, where innocence is traded,
where childhood is shipped like merchandise,
and where doors are sealed in the name of “sovereignty,”
under the protection of alliances.
What greater betrayal
than a king who hands over the keys of the nation
to those who kill children in broad daylight?
What deeper moral collapse
than a throne that shields Zionists
while leaving its own people naked
before poverty, repression, and marginalisation?
Betrayal needs no name.
It has a scent—
the stench of political hashish,
dirty money,
and a loyalty that cannot be hidden,
no matter how the discourse shifts
or the slogans change.
Normalisation is not peace.
It is a declaration of moral bankruptcy.
Whoever sells his position today
will sell his land tomorrow,
and will sell his people
when the price is demanded.
