The signing of the “Declaration of Algiers”, a memorable day

The President of the Republic,  Abdelmadjid Tebboune affirmed on Thursday that the signing of the “Algiers Declaration” for the unification of Palestinian ranks constituted “a memorable day”, pending “the effective realization of building an independent Palestinian state with El Quds as its capital”.

“Words cannot describe the greatness of this moment which comes 40 years after the proclamation of the State of Palestine by the martyr militant Yasser Arafat (Abu Ammar) in this same hall and under the same roof,” President Tebboune said. at the end of the signing of the “Declaration of Algiers” at the Palace of Nations (Club des Pins) by the representatives of the various Palestinian factions.

“The State of Palestine has been the target of so many crises and conspiracies. But God wanted us to witness today a memorable day, marked by a return to normalcy”, added the President of the Republic.

On this occasion, President Tebboune saluted the Palestinian officials and the representatives of the Palestinian factions present “for having respected the will of the Palestinian people in Ghaza, in the West Bank, as well as the diaspora. It is also the will of the Algerian people”, he said, expressing the wish to “see the establishment of an independent Palestinian state in its own right on the basis of the borders of June 1967, with El Quds as its capital”.

On this occasion, President Tebboune was honored by the Palestinian factions signatories of the “Declaration of Algiers” in recognition of his colossal efforts and his important role in the unification of the Palestinian ranks, and the consecration of Palestinian unity. .
