Traffic Diversion Announced in Baba Ali, Algiers

Algiers, Algeria | July 11th, 2024 — The wilaya of Algiers announced on Thursday that a traffic diversion will be implemented in the commune of Baba Ali due to scheduled construction work on the bridge connecting Baba Ali to Saoula.

Duration and Schedule

According to the communiqué, the traffic diversion will last for five days, starting at midnight on July 11th and continuing until 5 AM on July 15th.

New Traffic Plan

During this period, motorists who typically use National Road 1 at the Baba Ali bridge will need to follow an alternative traffic plan:

• Traffic from Blida to Algiers: Vehicles will be diverted to the right of the bridge, using the parallel road leading to the Baba Ali intersection towards Algiers and other destinations.
• Traffic from Algiers to Blida: Vehicles will be diverted to the left of the Baba Ali bridge, taking the road leading to the right towards the Saoula intersection, then continuing to Blida and other destinations.

Motorists are advised to plan their routes accordingly and follow the new traffic plan to avoid any inconvenience during the construction period.
