Twinning Protocol Signed Between Ali-Tounsi Higher Police School, Higher School of National Gendarmerie

ALGIERS- On Thursday, the Ali-Tounsi Higher Police School and the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie of Zéralda, the martyr “Mouaz M’hamed”, signed a twinning protocol aimed at supporting and enhancing the exchange in the fields of training and academic achievement.

The signing ceremony was presided over by the Director of the Higher Police School, General Djamel Younsi, and the Commander of the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie, Colonel Mohamed Drani.

This twinning protocol falls within the framework of implementing the provisions of the cooperation agreement between the two institutions. It focuses on enhancing and strengthening coordination between the two establishments, especially in the field of training, to unify efforts and combat various forms of crime. The collaboration includes mutual pedagogical visits to enhance experiences and share theoretical and operational exercises. Additionally, it involves participating in seminars, conferences, and scheduled academic days, along with organizing sports activities.

The Director of the Higher Police School emphasized the significance of signing the twinning protocol to open promising prospects between the two institutions in many common objectives. He stated, “This opportunity will allow scientific elites and professional executives to exchange experiences, positively influencing the quality of training output, thus enhancing the training and educational capabilities and skills of the students in both academies.”

Younsi further explained that this protocol would add value to the achievements made between the two parties by establishing an effective partnership.

The Commander of the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie expressed that the signing of this protocol is a significant event as it contributes to giving new momentum to cooperation and coordination between the two institutions. He noted that current security challenges, especially regarding organized crime, require more efforts and effectiveness in performance. This will be achieved through concerted efforts to elevate the level of human resource training.

The twinning protocol marks a pivotal step in fostering collaboration, sharing expertise, and collectively addressing contemporary security challenges faced by both the Higher Police School and the Higher School of the National Gendarmerie.
