Under the Guise of Art and Aid: Zionist Penetration Reaches Morocco’s Remote Villages

Moroccan researcher warns of covert infiltration targeting impoverished areas and youth consciousness, as normalization deepens and Zionist narratives spread unchecked.

Algiers, Algeria | May 9th, 2025 — As the Moroccan regime continues to pave the way for full normalization with the Zionist entity, a dangerous new phase of infiltration has emerged—this time cloaked in the seemingly benign forms of humanitarian assistance and cultural activities. These operations have begun reaching even the most isolated villages and marginalized communities in the country.

Moroccan scholar Rachid Bouibri, a specialist in communication and discourse analysis with a focus on political and social studies, revealed that a wave of silent Zionist infiltration is sweeping through rural Morocco. These operations, he explained, are often carried out under artistic or humanitarian pretenses, reaching deeply into society’s margins.

Speaking at a forum organized by the youth wing of Jamaat Al-Adl wal-Ihsan under the theme “Dangers of Normalization and Enhancing Youth Awareness of the Current Stage”, Bouibri issued stern warnings about the strategic targeting of Moroccan youth. He stressed that this demographic is being deliberately exposed to distorted narratives designed to reshape their values and implant Zionist ideologies, thereby facilitating broader societal control.

Bouibri explained that while much of the public discourse has focused on state-level normalization, the more insidious threat lies in grassroots-level penetration—through academic institutions, associations, and local cultural initiatives. These efforts exploit the country’s deepening poverty and social despair to gain a foothold among the most vulnerable.

“The Zionist project doesn’t merely aim to normalize ties; it seeks to reengineer societies from within,” Bouibri said. “They’ve already achieved maximum access at the state level. What remains is society—our universities, our students, our identity. This is nothing less than a new form of colonialism that seeks to erase our sovereignty and uniqueness.”

The researcher also underscored the longstanding and systematic nature of Moroccan-Zionist ties, noting that this alliance is not a recent development but a decades-old reality falsely rebranded as “normalization.” He urged for collective resistance across all sectors, particularly among educators, students, and civil society actors.

In highlighting specific cases, Bouibri cited how Moroccan universities have taken punitive measures against anti-normalization student activists, as seen in Agadir where students were summoned before disciplinary councils simply for organizing events in solidarity with Palestine.

In response to such repression, the association ATTAC Morocco issued a strong statement of support for student mobilization, affirming its unwavering position on Palestine as a cause of national and human liberation. The group announced its endorsement of the upcoming Youth and Student Forum against Normalization and for Palestinian Resistance, including a nationwide protest scheduled in front of the Ministry of Higher Education between May 12–15.

ATTAC emphasized that academic and cultural normalization is a betrayal, and warned that criminalizing solidarity with Palestine will not succeed in silencing dissent.
