Veteran Leader Hamza Aoufi Visits El Binaa Movement Headquarters

Algiers, Algeria | The Secretary-General of the National Organization of Mujahideen, Colonel Hamza Aoufi, paid a formal visit to the national headquarters of the El Binaa al-Watani Movement. He was accompanied by the Secretary-General of the National Organization of the Sons of Martyrs, reflecting the continued cooperation between Algeria’s historic institutions of memory and its contemporary political actors.
The delegation was welcomed by the senior leadership of the Movement, underscoring the recognition of the Mujahideen’s legacy as an essential pillar of Algeria’s national identity and statehood.
The visit coincided with the sixth session of the Movement’s Summer University, dedicated to young women engaged in community action. Colonel Aoufi voiced confidence in the ability of Algeria’s younger generations to carry forward the responsibilities of nation-building, preserving the principles inherited from the liberation struggle.
Shared Perspectives on National and International Issues
Discussions touched on key developments at both the national and international levels. Particular focus was placed on the Palestinian cause, which remains central to Algeria’s foreign policy, as well as on recent pressures from French right-wing circles seeking to influence Algeria’s domestic and regional choices. Both sides affirmed the importance of addressing such challenges with cohesion and clarity.
The visit concluded with an agreement to hold further meetings aimed at formulating practical measures to reinforce national sovereignty and strengthen internal unity.
