Algiers – December 2025 – In the wake of the recent elevation of bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership, the Vietnam Trade Office in Algeria has undertaken a vigorous and proactive campaign to deepen commercial ties, identify market opportunities, and connect enterprises from both nations. This initiative reflects Vietnam’s commitment to translating diplomatic progress into tangible economic outcomes, leveraging Algeria’s growing industrial and agricultural sectors.
During AGRITOUR EXPO 2025, held in Biskra from December 2 to 4—a flagship event encompassing agriculture, industry, and tourism—the Trade Office organized intensive working sessions with numerous local businesses. These interactions provided direct insights into Algerian regulatory frameworks and the specific demand for products, raw materials, and specialized equipment, positioning Vietnam as a key potential partner in fulfilling these needs.
Algerian companies expressed pronounced interest in establishing collaboration with Asian partners, notably Vietnam. Maritime operators sought advanced solutions in shipbuilding, maintenance, and repair of cargo vessels, while manufacturers of packaging and irrigation equipment explored reliable sources of raw materials such as plastic resins and rubber. Fertilizer producers and distributors inquired about input chemicals and production-line technologies, and firms in the construction sector highlighted a pressing demand for fire-resistant and waterproof materials suitable for gypsum walls and industrial applications.
These engagements allowed the Trade Office to gather firsthand intelligence on market requirements, showcase Vietnam’s industrial and agricultural export potential, and strengthen business-to-business networks. Officials expect that the insights gained will inform government policy recommendations, foster bilateral trade growth, and catalyze future strategic partnerships.
