Voter List Revision Begins Ahead of 02 July Legislative Elections, Electoral Authority Announces Nationwide Update Process

The exceptional revision of electoral rolls, in preparation for the Legislative Elections scheduled for 02 July, begins this Sunday and will continue until Sunday, 26 April 2026.
The National Independent Authority for Elections (ANIE) has called on citizens not yet registered on electoral lists, who will have reached the legal voting age of 18 on election day and who meet the required legal conditions, to submit applications for registration on the electoral list of their commune of residence.
It has also invited registered voters who have changed their place of residence to request transfer of registration to the electoral list of their new commune of residence. Such requests must be submitted to the communal commission for the revision of electoral lists, accompanied by an identity document and a certificate of residence, between 09:00 and 16:00.
To verify registration status and to submit applications for inclusion or removal, citizens may access the Independent Authority’s platform via the following link: https://services.ina-elections.dz.
Citizens residing abroad and registered with Algerian diplomatic or consular representations are likewise invited to request their registration on electoral lists through the same procedures, via the revision commissions established within embassies and consulates.
Following the closure of the exceptional revision period, political parties and independent candidates will proceed with the withdrawal of signature collection forms from the headquarters of ANIE, its wilaya delegations, or diplomatic and consular representations, before submitting candidacy files within a period not exceeding forty-five (45) days prior to the date of the ballot.
At this stage, the Authority proceeds with the examination of submitted files to verify compliance with all required conditions, including new provisions introduced under the electoral law. It then rules on the validity of candidacies through duly reasoned decisions, while allowing rejected candidates the right to appeal.
Twenty-three (23) days before the election date, the electoral campaign is officially opened. It closes three (3) days prior to the ballot, giving way to the period of electoral silence.
It is noted that, following amendments introduced to the Constitution and the electoral law, ANIE is entrusted with the missions of supervision, control, preparation, organisation, and management of the entire electoral process for the Legislative Elections of 02 July, while logistical aspects are assigned to the administration, which is required to provide the Independent Authority with all necessary material resources.
