Rachid Hachichi, the newly appointed General Manager of Sonatrach, is a prominent figure in the energy industry. Born and raised in Tebessa, Hachichi has an impressive background that has shaped his successful career.
After completing his education at the National Institute for Chemistry in Boumerdes, Hachichi embarked on a 27-year journey as an engineer in the southern region of Algeria. His dedication and expertise earned him recognition as one of the distinguished members of the 1987 promotion.
Throughout his remarkable 32-year tenure at Sonatrach, Hachichi has held various positions, showcasing his versatility and adaptability. Starting as an engineer, he steadily climbed the corporate ladder, assuming roles such as department head, sector head, and regional director of production.
In addition to his extensive experience within Sonatrach, Hachichi has also served as the General Managers’ Adviser, demonstrating his ability to provide valuable insights and guidance.
Furthermore, he was entrusted with the crucial responsibility of overseeing the Safety Security Branch (HSE) as the Central Director, further solidifying his reputation as a capable leader.
On April 24th, Engineer Rachid Hachichi was appointed as the General Manager of Sonatrach, a position he held until November of the same year. During his tenure, he exhibited exceptional leadership skills and a deep understanding of the industry, ensuring the company’s continued success.
