World Leaders Congratulate President Abdelmadjid Tebboune on the 71st Anniversary of the Algerian Revolution

Algiers – November 2025 – On the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the outbreak of the glorious November 1st Revolution, President Abdelmadjid Tebboune received a wave of messages of congratulations from heads of state and senior international officials, who hailed Algeria’s steady progress, its growing role on the global stage, and the enduring strength of its bilateral partnerships.
Among the first to extend their congratulations was President Frank-Walter Steinmeier of Germany, who expressed his appreciation for the depth and resilience of Algerian-German relations, reaffirming that Germany regards Algeria as a strategic partner and pledging continued cooperation in the pursuit of sustainable development and regional stability.
Polish President Karol Nawrocki also conveyed his warm wishes to President Tebboune and the Algerian people, emphasizing Algeria’s pivotal role as a key African partner and voicing his country’s commitment to strengthening bilateral cooperation in an increasingly complex global and regional environment.
In a similar vein, Hungarian President Tamás Sólyom praised the level of bilateral relations and expressed his determination to broaden cooperation into new strategic sectors to meet contemporary global challenges. Meanwhile, Slovak President Peter Pellegrini recalled the historic friendship between Algeria and Slovakia, expressing optimism for a new phase of cooperation—particularly through the reopening of diplomatic missions and the deepening of multilateral ties.
Slovenian President Nataša Pirc Musar extended her heartfelt congratulations to the Algerian nation, underlining the excellence of Algerian-Slovenian relations and reaffirming her government’s commitment to enhancing collaboration in all areas of shared interest.
Bulgarian President Rumen Radev likewise paid tribute to Algeria’s balanced and principled foreign policy, expressing his aspiration to strengthen historic and economic relations between the two countries. Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema underscored the importance of Algeria’s partnership with African nations and the United Nations, particularly highlighting Algeria’s contributions to education and human development across the continent.
In his message, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko extended warm congratulations, commending Algeria’s steadfast defense of national sovereignty and its consistent advocacy for international cooperation based on mutual respect and non-interference.
Further east, Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto addressed his greetings to President Tebboune and the Algerian people, emphasizing the 62-year-old historical bond between Algeria and Indonesia. He affirmed that this enduring relationship serves as a strategic foundation for expanding bilateral cooperation across multiple sectors and conveyed his sincere wishes for progress, prosperity, and continued leadership for Algeria under President Tebboune’s guidance.
Finally, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the Arab League, paid tribute to the heroes of the Algerian Revolution, celebrating Algeria’s pivotal role in fostering Arab solidarity and advancing the cause of collective Arab action.
