But why do we so often resist the idea that letting go might actually be a blessing?
A blessing that safeguards your dignity.
A blessing that preserves your energy.
A blessing that protects what remains of your true self.
How many times have you been asked: “Why give everything up? Why not fight for it?”
Yet the real question is: Why fight for something that was never worthy of you to begin with?
If it truly belonged to you, it would never have left you torn between staying and leaving.
Why do we chase mirages?
Why burden ourselves with illusions and carry weights our souls were never meant to bear?
People do not belong to us.
Livelihood and provision are not in our hands—they rest solely with God.
So why exhaust our spirits clinging to illusions, anchoring our happiness in things we can never control?
Stop tormenting yourself by insisting on the impossible.
Set your heart free from attachments that drain you.
Quietly withdraw from everything that poisons your life—including the people who neither honor you nor bring anything but pain.
You are not compelled to endure what breaks you.
You are a free human being, responsible first and foremost for your own peace of mind.
So, learn the discipline of letting go.
Give yourself the chance to breathe, to live.
For in that discipline lies your path to true peace—at every stage of your life.
