Pro-Makhzen Media Amplifies Extremist Zionist Rhetoric, Wishing Algeria the Same Fate as Iran

Algiers, Algeria | June 20th, 2025 — In a disturbing reflection of regional collusion and ideological incitement, Morocco’s pro-monarchy media is openly embracing extremist Zionist narratives that threaten Algeria’s sovereignty. Amid the Zionist regime’s escalating military aggression—most recently targeting the Islamic Republic of Iran—voices aligned with the Moroccan Makhzen have gone so far as to wish that Algeria be subjected to the same violent fate.

The website Le360.ma, closely affiliated with the royal palace, published a sensationalist article titled: “Today Iran, Tomorrow Algeria…”—a phrase that not only reveals a deep-rooted hostility toward Algeria but also suggests an alarming alignment with Tel Aviv’s war agenda.

The article enthusiastically cites Meir Masri, a Zionist academic and self-proclaimed political analyst affiliated with the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. On April 10, Masri tweeted: “Today Iran, tomorrow Algeria. Israel is fighting terrorism,” a statement viewed over 1.1 million times. The comment, masquerading as policy analysis, was in fact a blatant threat, cheered on by Moroccan media as part of a growing pattern of coordinated propaganda.

Masri, echoing Tel Aviv’s long-standing disinformation campaigns, falsely accuses Algeria and Iran of backing terrorism through fabricated links between the Polisario Front and Hezbollah. These baseless claims, long debunked, serve as convenient pretexts for attacking countries that defy the Zionist-Western narrative and stand firm against occupation and expansionism.

The Moroccan regime and its media allies have amplified such rhetoric not merely as political theater, but as part of a broader strategy of demonizing Algeria’s regional role. By aligning themselves with Zionist discourse, these outlets betray both the spirit of Maghrebi solidarity and the memory of anti-colonial struggles that defined the region’s modern identity.

What Algeria represents—a principled voice for Palestine, a steadfast defender of international law, and an uncompromising opponent of neo-imperial aggression—poses a threat to the Zionist agenda and its allies in Rabat. Unlike many Arab regimes that have normalized ties with the Zionist entity, Algeria has refused to bow, maintaining its moral clarity and historical responsibility toward the Palestinian cause.

This latest episode of incitement reveals a dangerous trifecta: a Zionist regime expanding its war fronts, a Moroccan monarchy eager to please its new ally, and a propaganda machine working to soften the ground for future aggression. But Algeria, rooted in its revolutionary legacy and backed by its people’s unwavering resistance to foreign domination, remains unshaken.

It is not Algeria that should be afraid—it is those who align themselves with oppression and occupation that should fear the tide of justice rising across the region.
