The Workers’ Party (PT) denounces the Zionist entity’s deadly strikes on Iran as a calculated act of terrorism backed by American imperialism, warning of catastrophic consequences for the entire Middle East.

Algiers, Algeria | June 13th, 2025 — The Algerian Workers’ Party (PT) issued a powerful condemnation on Friday of the recent wave of Zionist bombings against the Islamic Republic of Iran, describing the assault as a “terrorist operation” carried out with extreme brutality. In an official statement released following a meeting of its national bureau, the PT warned that the deadly attacks targeted civilian nuclear facilities, airports, residential neighborhoods, and academic institutions—claiming the lives of women, children, scientists, and senior officials.

 

Calling the offensive “criminal” and “deliberate,” the PT emphasized that the aggression was premeditated and synchronized with a prior U.S. directive instructing American personnel and military forces to evacuate Iraq. According to the PT, the operation was executed with the explicit blessing of former U.S. President Donald Trump, using America’s most lethal weapons in an attempt to coerce Iran into submitting to Washington’s diktats concerning civilian uranium enrichment.

“This heinous act,” declared the party, “confirms once again that the Zionist entity operates as the bloodstained military arm of U.S. imperialism in the region.”

The PT underscored that this latest act of war comes as the Zionist regime—led by an increasingly isolated Netanyahu government—escalates its genocidal and expansionist war on Gaza, the West Bank, and Al-Quds. Simultaneously, the entity continues its aggressive bombardment of Syria and southern Lebanon, while the United States resumes airstrikes on Yemen in blatant violation of non-aggression pacts previously signed under Trump’s administration.

The Workers’ Party condemned Trump’s statement calling the aggression against Iran “excellent,” viewing it as further proof that U.S. imperialism, when met with diplomatic resistance, resorts without hesitation to force and bloodshed—endangering global peace.

In a firm voice of solidarity, the PT reiterated its unwavering support for the oppressed peoples of Palestine, Iran, Lebanon, Yemen, and Syria. The party warned that this intensified campaign of militarized chaos threatens to engulf the entire region in devastation.

“To resist this accelerating descent into bloody devastation,” the PT declared, “is not only to defend our brothers and sisters in the region, but to defend our own nation—and the very essence of humanity itself.”

The communique concludes with a resounding call:
“Down with the American-Zionist war against the peoples of the Middle East!”
