Air Algérie Resumes Algiers–Addis Ababa Route

Air Algérie has officially resumed its air link connecting Algiers to Addis Ababa, marking the reinstatement of a route of strategic importance between Algeria and Ethiopia. The relaunch was formalized on Thursday in the Ethiopian capital, where the arrival of the inaugural flight was received in an official ceremony.
The event was presided over by Algeria’s Ambassador to Ethiopia and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Mohamed Khaled, accompanied by members of the diplomatic mission. The ceremony underscored the significance attributed to this route within the broader framework of Algeria’s engagement on the African continent.
This development comes in implementation of the directives of the President of the Republic, Abdelmadjid Tebboune, aimed at strengthening Algeria’s presence in Africa. It also reflects ongoing efforts to consolidate the longstanding relations of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Ethiopia.
The resumption of this connection is expected to facilitate exchanges and mobility between the two countries, while supporting diplomatic and economic interactions within the African space.
