Air Algérie Workforce: Yacine Benslimane Announces Employee Count of 8,315

ALGIERS- The CEO of Air Algérie, Yacine Benslimane, addressed the matter of the airline’s workforce during a recent session with the Transport and Telecommunications Commission of the People’s National Assembly (APN). Benslimane clarified that Air Algérie currently employs 8,315 individuals, countering the inaccurate figures circulating on social media platforms, which erroneously claim employee numbers ranging from 12,000 to 15,000. In reality, the workforce has decreased from 8,799 employees in 2019 to the current figure.

During the hearing, it was revealed that a recruitment campaign will be launched in the near future. This initiative aims to bolster the technical flight crew (pilots) and commercial flight crew (stewards and hostesses) in preparation for the expansion of new routes and the acquisition of additional aircraft.
