Algiers, Algeria | July 2nd, 2025 — Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ahmed Attaf, received a telephone call on Wednesday from his Polish counterpart, Radoslaw Sikorski, in a diplomatic exchange that underscored the mutual interest in strengthening Algerian-Polish relations.

According to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad, the two top diplomats reviewed the current state of friendship and cooperation between Algeria and Poland. They discussed avenues to inject new momentum into bilateral ties, particularly in anticipation of Minister Sikorski’s planned visit to Algeria during the second half of 2025.

The conversation also offered an opportunity for the two ministers to exchange views and in-depth assessments of pressing regional and international issues. Special attention was given to the situation in the Sahel-Saharan region, where both countries share a growing concern over the deteriorating security environment and the implications for regional stability.
