Algiers – Deputy Speaker of the People’s National Assembly, Zohir Nasri, has presented his final performance report marking the conclusion of his parliamentary mandate. The report highlighted key achievements realized during his tenure, reflecting his commitment to public service and citizens’ trust.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasri expressed deep gratitude to the electorate for the confidence placed in him over the past years, describing his role as a “great honor and a profound responsibility.” He emphasized that his approach was grounded in openness and direct communication with the people, underscoring that a true representative “never closes his door to those who placed their trust in him.”

The final report showcased major accomplishments in development and social welfare, notably:

Advancement of strategic projects in housing, healthcare, and transport sectors.

Resolution of long-standing social files that had been stalled for years.

Advocacy for social justice and anti-bureaucratic reforms, ensuring citizens’ voices were heard in legislative decision-making.

Nasri noted that his tenure was marked by regular reporting of progress and annual updates, a practice he said was essential for reinforcing democratic accountability and transparency.
