The UAE Ambassador to Algeria, Youssef Seif Khamis Sebaa Al Ali, affirmed that the UAE, since its establishment on December 2, 1971, has pursued the principle of promoting security, peace and sustainable development in various parts of the region and the hole world, taking this principle as a fundamental dimension in UAE foreign policy.
In his speech on the occasion of his country’s celebration of the golden jubilee (50 years) for the establishment of the United Arab Emirates, Al Ali explained that « this principle was laid by Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, and followed in his footsteps by the wise leadership of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, The President of the State in emphasizing, deepening and developing this dimension through the great contributions made by the UAE on various humanitarian, political and economic levels, inspired by these policies from the thought and morals of the rulers of the Emirates, who drew from the Islamic religion approach that is characterized by tolerance, the spirit of brotherhood, love and observance of the rule of good-neighborliness. »
With regard to the Emirati-Algerian relations, the Emirati ambassador stressed that they are distinguished and well-established relations with strong historical and cultural ties that extended throughout history, noting that his country is looking forward to strengthening cooperation with « our brothers in Algeria in all fields, as we undoubtedly remember the visit of His Excellency the Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Aïmene Benabderrahmane, to the state, and his participation in Algeria’s celebrations of its National Day at Expo 2020 Dubai. »
« We also affirm that we will work to develop relations in line with the aspirations of the leaderships of the two countries, and to serve the interests of the two brotherly peoples. », the spokesman has added.
