Sheikha Dr Hind bint Abdulaziz Al Qasimi asserted that the United Arab Emirates, has been based since its establishment fifty years ago in 1971, on man and woman side by side, pointing out that the Emirati woman has made many achievements, and earned the trust, as the UAE currently has over 12 female ministers, as well as 15 female ambassadors. And that’s not all.
During his speech to the participants in the International Conference on Women, which was held the day before yesterday, Saturday at the International Conference Center at the Club des Pins – Algiers, , Al Qasimi continued: « The percentage of women’s presence at the National Assembly (the Parliament of the United Arab Emirates) is 50 percent, and there is a woman who chaired it during the previous period, for 4 years, noting that Emirati women can own all business licenses in all economic fields, just like men, with no exceptions in this regard.
The speaker attributed this progress in Emirati society, in terms of the empowerment of Emirati women, to the “confidence of UAE leaders in Emirati women” and their far-sighted vision that “any society founded on one sex without the other, whether it is a man or a woman, it is a lame society, One must complement the other.
Speaking of the Emirates Business Club, Hind Al Qasimi explained that it was founded in 2014, which, like the Federation of the United Arab Emirates, has gone through a great challenge. It was originally affiliated with an international club, which was separate from it and formed a special club in the United Arab Emirates, insisting that it took up the challenge of reaching all countries in the world, and in his first year it was limited to businesswomen, in the following year it was opened to businessmen, and in the third year it became an international club.
“We have now reached 53 countries, and we have representation in all the Gulf countries and Arab countries, the rest will come, God willing.” Al Qasimi continued.
Sheikha Dr Hind bint Abdulaziz pointed out that the Emirates Business Club forms a network and communication bridge between business women and men in the Gulf and Arab countries, and relies on many volunteer members in their functions within of the club.
