Matteo Piantedosi Commends Level of Friendship between Algeria, Italy

ALGIERS– The Italian Minister of Interior, Matteo Piantedosi, praised on Thursday the high level of friendship that binds Algeria to his country, built on a “common vision.”

In a statement following the audience granted by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, the Italian minister indicated that the meeting allowed him to hear “the views and analyses of the President on matters of common interest.” He expressed satisfaction with the level of Algerian-Italian friendship, which spans “decades” and is grounded in a “common vision.”

While emphasizing the agreement to “further strengthen this friendship in the future,” Matteo Piantedosi extended his gratitude to the President for the warm welcome. He highlighted that the meeting provided an opportunity to inform President Tebboune about the work undertaken with his counterpart, Brahim Merad. This collaboration resulted in the signing of an agreement between the two countries in the security domain.
