ALGIERS — Algeria’s Ministry of Health announced on Friday that it has mobilized all necessary human and material resources to ensure the immediate and optimal treatment of victims injured in two fatal road accidents that occurred on Thursday, August 6, 2026, in the provinces of Constantine and Tiaret.

The ministry said the emergency response was launched under the instructions of Mohamed Sadek Aït Messaoudane, following the accidents, which resulted in multiple fatalities and injuries.

In Constantine, medical and paramedical teams were mobilized across the healthcare facilities that received the injured, particularly Dr. Benbadis University Hospital and Dr. Hafidh Boujemaa “El Bir” Hospital, where patients received emergency care and specialized medical treatment.

In Tiaret, the injured were initially treated at Hashemi Abdelkrim Local Hospital before being transferred to the Sougueur Public Hospital, where medical and paramedical staff were fully mobilized and all necessary healthcare resources were deployed to provide comprehensive treatment.

The Ministry of Health said it is continuing to monitor the condition of the injured through direct coordination with regional health officials and local authorities in both provinces.
