Algeria’s Consulate General in San Francisco Set to Begin Operations in the Coming Days

Algiers – November 2025 – In a development that underscores Algeria’s continued commitment to its nationals abroad, the Consulate General of Algeria in San Francisco is set to commence operations in the coming days, according to Sofiane Chaïb, Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs in charge of the National Community Abroad.
The announcement was made on Thursday during a virtual ceremony commemorating the anniversary of November 1, organized by Algeria’s diplomatic representation in the United States. Speaking on the occasion, Chaïb reaffirmed that the consulate will soon begin providing a full range of administrative and consular services for members of the Algerian community residing within its jurisdiction.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the establishment of this new consulate general represents a tangible realization of the Algerian government’s sustained efforts to bring public administration closer to its citizens abroad and to enhance the quality and accessibility of services offered to the diaspora, wherever they may reside.
