ACS Showcases Algeria’s Industrial Capabilities at FIA 2026, Says Communications Director
Yasmina Toubal tells Dzair Tube the state-owned group is highlighting the diversity and strategic importance of Algeria’s chemical manufacturing sector

ALGIERS — Yasmina Toubal, Communications Director of the state-owned Algeria Chemical Specialities (ACS) Group, said the holding company participated in the 57th Algiers International Fair (FIA 2026) with all of its subsidiaries in an effort to showcase Algeria’s industrial capabilities and the breadth of the country’s chemical manufacturing sector.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Dzair Tube, Toubal said ACS is a major industrial holding comprising four industrial groups and seven state-owned economic enterprises operating across a broad range of chemical and manufacturing activities.
Diversified Industrial Portfolio Across Strategic Sectors
According to Toubal, ACS operates in numerous strategic industrial segments, including the production of glass, paper, cardboard, abrasive materials, cleaning products, paint products, and medical equipment.
She added that the group is also active in the environmental sector through a specialised subsidiary dedicated to waste recovery, recycling and the treatment of special and hazardous waste, reflecting the group’s contribution to sustainable industrial development.
Toubal noted that several of the group’s activities are closely linked to industries considered strategic for Algeria’s economic diversification agenda.
Supporting Local Industrial Integration
The ACS Communications Director highlighted the group’s contribution to industrial subcontracting, particularly in support of the automotive industry.
She explained that the holding company operates in the production of plastics, automotive glass, paint products, and maintenance materials, with five economic enterprises specialising in industrial subcontracting activities that supply manufacturing value chains.
According to Toubal, these activities contribute to strengthening local industrial integration and expanding Algeria’s domestic manufacturing base.
FIA Participation Showcases National Industrial Potential
Toubal said ACS has consistently participated in successive editions of the Algiers International Fair, viewing the exhibition as a strategic platform for presenting the capabilities of its subsidiaries to professionals, institutional partners and the wider public.
By bringing together all of its affiliated companies under one pavilion, the group aims to demonstrate the scale of its industrial portfolio while highlighting the strength and diversity of Algeria’s national industrial fabric.
She added that the exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase the country’s manufacturing potential and reinforce confidence in the competitiveness of Algerian industry across strategic production sectors.
