ALGIERS — Algeria’s High Commission for Digitalisation has officially launched the country’s electronic Apostille platform, marking a further step in the government’s digital transformation agenda aimed at simplifying administrative procedures and expanding access to online public services.
The platform, unveiled on Friday in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, is now accessible through Algeria’s National Government Digital Services Portal, according to a statement issued by the High Commission.
The new digital service enables users to complete procedures related to the issuance of Apostille certificates for official public documents intended for use abroad in countries that are party to the 1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalisation for Foreign Public Documents.
The High Commission said the initiative forms part of broader interministerial efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of public administration by deploying modern digital solutions designed to simplify procedures and better respond to citizens’ needs.
Authorities said the platform is also intended to align Algeria’s administrative services with international digital governance standards by providing a faster, more transparent and streamlined process for handling official documents destined for international use.
The launch forms part of Algeria’s wider programme to accelerate the digitalisation of public services, improve administrative efficiency and expand the delivery of government services through integrated online platforms.
