Water Minister Lounes Bouzegza to Visit Tissemsilt to Review Water Projects and Public Supply Services

Visit forms part of efforts to monitor implementation of the president’s supplementary development programme, with a focus on drinking water supply, project delivery and improving the quality and continuity of public water services.

ALGIERS — Algeria’s Minister of Water Resources, Lounes Bouzegza, is scheduled to undertake a working and inspection visit to Tissemsilt on Saturday to assess the implementation of water infrastructure projects and review the performance of public water supply services across the province.

According to an official statement, Bouzegza will inspect the progress of development projects currently under implementation as part of the sector’s investment programme, while evaluating measures introduced to improve the quality, reliability and continuity of drinking water services for residents.

The minister is also expected to review the pace of project execution and assess efforts aimed at strengthening water resources and enhancing service delivery in support of local development objectives.

The visit forms part of the government’s ongoing monitoring of the supplementary development programme approved by President Abdelmadjid Tebboune, which includes measures to reinforce water infrastructure and improve access to safe drinking water for the population of Tissemsilt province.
