Algeria Sends Senate Chief Azouz Nasri to Museveni Inauguration in Kampala

The Speaker of the Council of the Nation, Azouz Nasri, arrived in Kampala on Sunday to represent Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune at the inauguration ceremony of Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who has been re-elected for another term.
The swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, according to official arrangements announced by Ugandan authorities.
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, Nasri was received by Frederick Ngobi Gume, Uganda’s Minister of State for Cooperatives, and John Chrysostom Alintuma Nsambu, Uganda’s ambassador to Algeria. Members of the Algerian diplomatic mission in Kampala, led by Ambassador Mourad Amekrane, were also present.
The visit underscores ongoing diplomatic engagement between Algiers and Kampala, particularly within the framework of Africa-wide political coordination and institutional representation at high-level state ceremonies.
