Algerian Consulate in Jeddah Inspects Pilgrim Facilities Ahead of 2026 Hajj

Algeria’s Consul General in Jeddah, Mohamed El Habib Zahana, has overseen the inspection and handover of accommodation and catering facilities designated for Algerian pilgrims ahead of the 1447H/2026 Hajj season.
Accompanied by the head of the Mecca coordination centre, Youcef Baroud, and members of the first delegation of the Algerian Hajj mission, the consul general conducted field visits to hotels, kitchens and camps in the holy sites.
Representatives from the various sectors involved in the Hajj operation also took part in the inspections, carried out as part of ongoing preparations for the arrival of pilgrims.
The visits assessed the readiness of facilities and services and verified their compliance with established standards, with the aim of ensuring suitable accommodation conditions and the delivery of quality services to enable Algerian pilgrims to perform their rites under optimal conditions.
