Algérie Télécom Launches Nationwide Blood Donation Campaign Across Multiple Wilayas to Strengthen National Blood Reserves
BY Dr. Hana Saada
ALGIERS — Algérie Télécom, in partnership with the National Blood Agency and local healthcare structures, has organised a large-scale nationwide blood donation campaign this week, mobilising employees across its headquarters in Algiers and operational telecom directorates (DOT) throughout multiple wilayas.
Held under the slogan “The life of others flows in your veins”, the initiative coincides with World Blood Donor Day, observed annually on June 14, and saw strong participation from staff across the country.
The campaign aims to reinforce national blood bank reserves and respond to increasing demand from hospitals, while also promoting voluntary blood donation as a civic responsibility and a tangible expression of solidarity and mutual aid.
The operation was deployed across a wide geographical scope, including Tlemcen, Mascara, Bouira, Tiaret, Béjaïa, Constantine, El Tarf, Aïn Defla, Sétif, Tindouf, Tissemsilt, Oran, Biskra, Aïn Témouchent, Ghardaïa, Tipaza, Chlef, El Oued and Sidi Bel Abbès.
Through this initiative, embedded within its corporate social responsibility programme, Algérie Télécom reaffirmed its sustained commitment to humanitarian action and the promotion of civic values. The company continues to encourage awareness among employees and the wider public on the critical importance of blood donation as a life-saving act performed daily within the national healthcare system.
